Zeo staggers back and greatfully accepts Aluette's healing. "We should avoid the golems on the ground if possible." he informs the others. "We might be able to defeat the ones in the air, but the ones on the ground are probably too strong for us. And whatever happens we need to avoid the blue and silver golems and that giant statue."

"The park seems fairly safe." Alrick goes to talk to the others. "But we probably wouldn't find anything good there either. That academy is probably worth visiting, but it's got one of this blue and silver golems guarding it. What about the humming building? It's not as heavily guarded, and we'd probably find better stuff there than in the park or the houses?"

Jessie shrugs. "Unless you see a weapon storehouse, I don't really care where we go first."

"It is highly likely the more well-guarded buildings will contain the most valuable materials and intelligence. Diversionary tactics or alternate modes of infiltration may prove effective. With our enhanced speed, there should be little difficulty in escaping notice."

"Bear... bear in mind this is a magically-advanced island that hasn't been touched in many hundred years. Even... even the most mundane areas may hold items we might find valuable. Be... before we decide to tangle with the golems, perhaps we should examine the relatively unguarded areas of the park, library and woodland. They... they may well hold something of interest." Alim pauses.
"If we... if we must explore other areas, I would suggest we stay well away from the official building, pillared building, statue, spatial building and much of the residential area. If... if we have to explore that black edifice, I suggest we examine it as closely as possible beforehand. It... it contains an extremely high level of mana, and could be anything from the island's power plant and flight control system to a security area."

<I'm gonna pop in to say you folks have gotten about as much out of your senses are you are currently going to. There are varying degrees of mana everywhere; you frankly have little idea quite what is going on and what they indicate. This place is simply too high level to glean much else.>

((Gotcha. Anything on the looking-for-alternate entry points and suchlike?))

"I believe we should begin with the park. There are no patrolling golems there, and as long as we stay away from the statue, we should be relatively safe. Perhaps we shall gain better knowledge of what we face once at ground level. However, if you believe we can evade the patrols, visiting the library or the black building may yield better results."

Rosaline trains her telescopic sight on the plant to get a better view of the flowers.
"A stroll in the park would be simply delightful. If only I had the foresight to pack a picnic..."

"Looking around the park probably couldn't hurt." Alrick shrugs. "If we time it right, we could probably get in any building without being noticed by the patrols. The buildings that actually have dedicated guards though, could be tricky."

Alright, the park is perhaps the best place to go for now. I agree.
I partake in the adventures of:
Geddoe-Noble Priest of Destruction
Aluette-Purehearted Paladin
Aesir-Engel Pilot of a Nearly Extinct Race
The keenly dissociated, but equally loved:
Mreau the Summoner-Ooze Summoner on a Quest for Food

Dale says:
what do you think though.. does it sound like something I would do?
Saya says:
what kill people due to failed engineering or change your name to Mreau Om'Nom Lorvashtu?

A consensus having been reached, the tiny floating island soars over the larger area below, careful to avoid drawing the attention of the patrolling golems. Swiftly descending, it flies into a secluded pathway in the park, well out of the way of the large statue, coming to a gentle halt a foot off the ground.

Alim clears his throat. "We... we've arrived at our destination. All... all of you that wish to disembark, please let me know and I'll transport you from Volatilis to the surrounding area." A gentle chime, faintly audible on the party's side floats over from the arcane communication link.
"H... hello? Agua... Agua Verde University? Y...yes.... y...yes, I don't believe that will be a problem. One... one moment."
Experts from the botanically-focused city of Agua Verde immediately begin examining and reviewing the plantlife around them, requesting aid from Urhol if required.

While Alim converses with the heads of the Garden City of Volatilis, Irfan addresses the party.
"It would be tactically unwise to transport your skyship outside Volatilis' limits along with you. Doing so would draw attention from the patrolling golems and betray our location, due to its large size. If any of you will be leaving Volatilis, keep this in mind."

Assuming no golems or other monsters have taken notice of Volatilis, my entire team will get transported back outside so they can explore the park on foot.

<Few of the larger buildings have windows or other obvious methods of entry. Some of those in the residential area have those.>

The group lands without incident, though rosaline could simply swear she saw a few of the smaller automatons watch her land. A reserved yet elegant spread of flowers greets the group. The island identifies many of the flora here, some of which are quite rare. In the immediate vicinity...

The island also identifies that none of the plants are overtly hostile here, but that picking the wrong flowers is probably not the best idea, as those shrubberies are functioning as gardeners.

Alrick's crew leaves the island and steps into a wash of different, pleasent smells. The mix of all the flowers is dizzying, but in a good way. Zeo feels his headache fade away. Everyone else on his team is inflicted with the following:

Invigorated (Possessor has a 5% chance at the start of each round for each minor negative status effect on possessor of ignoring said effect)
Rejuvination (Possessor’s HP increases by an amount equal to 1% of possessor’s Max HP at the start of every round, with said HP increase being unable to bring possessor above possessor’s Max HP)
Mind Restore (Possessor’s MP increases by an amount equal to 1% of possessor’s Max MP at the start of every round, with said MP increase being unable to bring possessor above possessor’s Max MP)
